Arka na mieliźnie?! Kolejna porażka w 7Days EuroCup!

Zespół z Czarnogóry rozpoczął mecz od prowadzenia 6:0, ale ekipa gdyńska dość szybko odrobiła straty dzięki trójkom. Nieźle prezentował się Scott Bamforth, ale odpowiadali na to Krzysztof Szubarga i Dariusz Wyka. Dzięki trafieniu Leytona Hammondsa po 10 minutach był remis 18:18.

W trzeciej kwarcie po akcjach Adama Hrycaniuka i Armani Moore’a miejscowym udało się odrobić część dystansu. Przyjezdni dość szybko wyczerpali limit fauli, ale arkowcy wykorzystali tylko połowę z rzutów wolnych w tej kwarcie. Późniejsze trójki Nikoli Ivanovicia oraz trafienia Cobbsa sprawiały, że przewaga wzrosła aż do 17 punktów. Arka stanęła. Pojedyncze zrywy Hammondsa, czy Devonte Upsona to było zbyt mało na rozpędzonych rywali. Rzut Martinsa Meiersa oznaczał, że po 30 minutach było aż 69:46.

Ostatnia kwarta spotkania niczego już nie zmieniała, bo Asseco Arka nie zanotowała już żadnego zrywu ofensywnego. Czarnogórcy kontrolowali grę, a ich zwycięstwo nie było zagrożone. Obaj trenerzy mogli rotować składem i wpuścić na parkiet dublerów. Ostatecznie mecz zakończył się wynikiem 61:78.

W zespole z Gdyni najskuteczniejszy był Leyton Hammonds z 11 punktami i 8 zbiórkami. Jako jedyny uzyskał dwucyfrową zdobycz punktową. Armani Moore miał 9 punktów i 4 zbiórki. Kompletnie zawiedli liderzy. Josh Bostic w ciągu 25 minut na parkiecie zdobył zaledwie 2 punkty, a Krzysztof Szubarga w podobnym czasie – 5 punktów (wszystkie w pierwszej kwarcie) i miał 6 asyst. W drużynie Buducnosti Justin Cobbs zanotował 17 punktów, a 14 oczek dołożył Hassan Martin, który także zebrał z tablic 9 piłek.

Siedemnastopunktowe zwycięstwo Buducnosti ustawia ten zespół w korzystniejszej sytuacji względem gdynian. Mimo to zespół Przemysława Frasunkiewicza nie stracił jeszcze szansy awansu. Bezwzględnie jednak gdynianie muszą pokonać w najbliższym meczu Dolomiti Energa Trento. Spotkanie to odbędzie się 11 grudnia w Gdynia Arena.
