Świetne interwencje zaczął nagle demonstrować Jakub Skrzyniarz. Zawodnicy Dawida Nilssona nagle zatracili skuteczność, zdobyli jedynie 2 bramki. Zagłębie natomiast, nakręcane dobrą postawą swojego golkipera strzeliło aż 10 goli i nie tylko odwróciło losy meczu, ale uzyskało cztery bramki przewagi. Gospodarze powrócili do dobrej gry i próbowali jeszcze odrabiać straty, ale otrzymali kolejne ciosy, po których nie byli w stanie już się podnieść. Mecz wygrali lubinianie 30:26 i zrównali się punktami z Arką.
Przed żółto-niebieskimi poważny sprawdzian w Szczecinie. Zwycięstwo pozwoli wyprzedzić rywali i realne myśleć o utrzymaniu. Porażka natomiast – niebezpiecznie przybliży do spadku lub barażu.
