Mecz gdynianek z CCC, dwóch sąsiadujących ze sobą drużyn ze środka tabeli, zapowiadał się jako niezwykle emocjonujące widowisko. W ostatnich akcjach oba zespoły miały trudności z trafieniem do kosza, ale kluczowy rzut, który zapewnił CCC zwycięstwo, wykonała Jamierra Faulkner na pięć sekund przed końcem meczu.
W gdyńskim zespole koncert gry dała kapitan Jelena Skerović, która popisała się rzadko spotykaną skutecznością z linii wolnych. Drużyna została wyróżniona z okazji wywalczenia brązowego medalu mistrzostw Polski U22.
Turniej finałowy mistrzostw Polski U22, podczas którego gdynianki zajęły trzecie miejsce na podium odbył się w dniach 15-19 lutego w Hali Gier Gdyńskiego Centrum Sportu. W grupie B zawodniczki VBW GTK okazały się lepsze od zespołów: UKS Basket Aleksandrów Łódzki, Enea AZS Poznań i UKS Huragan Wołomin. W emocjonującym półfinale gdynianki uległy 57:63 późniejszym triumfatorkom, Cosinusowi Widzew Łódź. Na szczęście w meczu o brązowy medal znowu były górą i pokonały grupowe rywalki z Aleksandrowa Łódzkiego 61:40. W kluczowym meczu najskuteczniejszymi zawodniczkami były Jowita Ossowska (16 punktów) i Kamila Podgórna (15).
