GTK Gdynia nadal pozostaje bez zwycięstwa w Energa Basket Lidze Kobiet. Tym razem lepsze od młodych gdynianek okazały się zawodniczki CTL Zagłębia Sosnowiec, które wygrywając w Gdyni podniosły się po serii czterech porażek z rzędu.
Początek spotkania był wyrównany. Po trafieniu Julii Bazan z rzutu wolnego gospodynie nawet wygrały pierwszą kwartę (17:16). Jednak im było bliżej dłuższej przerwy – tym bardziej zarysowywała się przewaga przyjezdnych (35:43).
Po zmianie stron trafienia m.in. zza linii 6,75 Alicji Żytkowskiej oraz punkty Anny Wińkowskiej zniwelowały straty do trzech „oczek” – (49:52) w 26 minucie spotkania. Od tego jednak momentu zespół prowadzony przez Jordiego Aragonesa „wziął” się do roboty i seriami zdobywał punkty. Trzecią kwartę zakończyło trafienie za trzy punkty Martyny Jasiulewicz – (51:66).
W ostatniej kwarcie GTK nie było już w stanie nic zrobić, co dało kolejną porażkę na ekstraklasowych parkietach. Jessica January rzuciła 21 punktów, a 18 dodała Sarah Sagerer. Ta ostatnia skompletowała double double, dodając 10 zbiórek, podobnie jak Aishah Sutherland (11 pkt., 14 zb.). W pokonanym zespole podobnym wyczynem popisała się Anna Wińkowska (11 punktów, 10 zbiórek), a najskuteczniejsza była Alicja Żytkowska – 17 punktów.
