W Gdyni mistrz Polski bez problemów pokonał zespół z Poznania, ani przez moment nie czując zagrożenia. Przyjezdne sprawiały opór do przerwy, ale po wznowieniu gry gdyński walec parł naprzód miażdżąc wszystko, co stało na jego drodze. Drugą połowę gospodynie wygrały aż 51:15! Gdynianki 26 punktów zdobyły po stratach rywalek, a bardzo dobrze zagrała także „ławka”, która zdobyła aż 36 „oczek”.

Od jakiegoś czasu zdecydowaną liderką VBW jest Megan Gustafson (zdjęcie górne), która i w tym spotkaniu błyszczała najjaśniej, rzucając 19 punktów i kompletując double double po zebraniu 10 piłek. Oprócz niej dwucyfrową zdobyczą punktową pochwalić się mogły w tym meczu jeszcze cztery zawodniczki. Marissa Kastanek dorzuciła 14 punktów, 11 – Morgan Bertsch, a po 10 – Kamila Borkowska i Alice Kunek. W końcowych minutach trener Gundars Vetra wpuścił na parkiet koszykarki, które dotychczas miały na koncie niewiele minut. Bardzo dobrze zaprezentowała się Justyna Rudzka, która zdobyła 5 punktów.
