Na oficjalnej stronie klubu ukazało się następujące oświadczenie:
Informujemy, że w dniu 5 lipca wpłynęło do Klubu pismo dotyczące zmian w akcjonariacie właścicielskim.
W piśmie podpisanym przez Pana Dominika Midaka, informuje on, że nabył w dniu 29 czerwca 2017 roku, łącznie 243 000 akcji Spółki Arka Gdynia Sportowa Spółka Akcyjna z siedzibą w Gdyni.
Niezwłocznie spółka zgłosi stosowne zmiany w księdze akcyjnej, poprzez wpis nowego właściciela – Dominik Midak.
Poinformował o tym dzisiaj na konferencji prasowej Prezes Zarządu Wojciech Pertkiewicz. Prezes zapewnił, że praca Klubu odbywa się w niezakłóconym rytmie. W najbliższym czasie w planach są kolejne transfery zaplanowane wcześniej przez pion sportowy.
Prezes dodał, że w piśmie wnioskowano także o zwołaniu Nadzwyczajnego Zgromadzenia Akcjonariuszy Spółki, które odbędzie się w najbliższym czasie.
Doszło także do zmian w kadrze szkoleniowej klubu.
Z Klubu odchodzi ze względu na sprawy rodzinne II trener Grzegorz Opaliński. W jego miejsce sztab szkoleniowy uzupełnia Patryk Kniat.
Urodzony 1 stycznia 1980 roku trener posiadający licencję UEFA A ostatnio pracował w Elanie Toruń. Pełnił tam obowiązki dyrektora sportowego, był także dyrektorem Młodzieżowej Akademii Footballu „Elana”. Pracował tam od września 2015 do kwietnia 2017 roku. Wcześniej od 2001 roku do 2014 związany był pracą z grupami młodzieżowymi w Lechu Poznań. Współpracował między innymi z Dawidem Kownackim czy Karolem Linettym.
Sztab uzupełnili także w roli trenera diagnostyki Łukasz Radzimiński, do tej pory w pionie młodzieżowym, a w roli fizjoterapeuty Piotr Jasiński.
