Kolorowe latawce pod Cyplem Rewskim!

To były wspaniałe trzy dni pełne wiatru, słońca i emocjonującej sportowej rywalizacji, która opanowała cały cypel w Rewie. Co szczególnie cieszy to coraz większe grono młodych uczestników, zaczynających karierę zawodniczą, a także debiutanci, którzy zdecydowali się po raz pierwszy wziąć udział w zawodach cyklu Ford Kite Cup.

Cypel Rewski, zwany perłą Pomorza, dzięki swojemu położeniu zapewnia wiatr praktycznie ze wszystkich kierunków. I tak też było w ten weekend. W ciągu trzydniowych zawodów wiało z różnych stron, ale z wystarczającą siłą aby rozegrać wszystkie zaplanowane konkurencje: Mistrzostwa Polski we Freestylu, Formule Kite Mixed, a także zawody Pucharu Polski w Formule Kite. Spokojna na co dzień rybacka miejscowość stała się areną prawdziwego festiwalu kiteboardingu.

Pierwsze dni zmagań w konkurencji Freestyle – piątek i sobota – odbyły się przy dość nierównym, południowo-zachodnim wietrze, co sprawiło, że wyniki nie były oczywiste. I tak w kategorii Freestyle mężczyzn w półfinale odpadł bardzo dobrze zapowiadający się Łukasz Katana, natomiast miłym zaskoczeniem był mieszkaniec Rewy, Daniel Witkowski, który w tych trudnych warunkach radził sobie bardzo dobrze.

W rywalizacji kobiet czołowe zawodniczki – Kasia Lange, Natalia Grabowska, Gosia Kołacz, Martyna Konkel i Alina Ungeheuer, pływały bardzo równo i to lepsze odnalezienie się w warunkach decydowało o tym kto wychodził zwycięsko z heatów do finału.

W sobotę udało się też zakończyć konkurencję Freestyle młodzik do lat 18 i tu należy pogratulować zwycięzcy, debiutantowi zawodów Fod Kite Cup, Jakubowi Kapturskiemu. Warto zwrócić uwagę na Marcela Stępniewskiego, który pomimo bardzo młodego wieku i niewielkiej wagi świetnie sobie radził i nawiązywał walkę ze starszymi kolegami.

W ostatni dzień zawodów do rozegrania pozostał tylko jeden półfinał męski, finał kobiet i finał mężczyzn. Gdy około godziny 12 wiatr zdecydowanie przybrał na sile, zawodnicy wyszli na wodę, a kibice mogli podziwiać bardzo spektakularne, decydujące heaty.

W finale Martyna Konkel nie pozostawiła szans swoim konkurentkom, płynąc świetny heat i lądując większość trików, takich jak hinterberger, sbend to blind czy masywny back to blind. Rywalizacja o drugie, trzecie i czwarte miejsce była bardzo zacięta i finalnie na drugim miejscu uplasowała się Kasia Lange, na trzecim Alina Ungeheuer i na czwartym Natalia Grabowska.

W finale mężczyzn niespodzianką była doskonała forma Maice’a Dittricha, który wylądował większość z zaplanowanych trików, na przykład podwójny S3 czy slim 5. Wybił tym z rytmu czterokrotnego Mistrza Polski, Marka Rowińskiego, a także Mateusza Włodarczyka, którzy mieli dużo upadków i ostatecznie zajęli kolejno drugie i trzecie miejsce. Czwarty był Daniel Witkowski.

Jednocześnie po nawietrznej stronie cypla startowali zawodnicy na hydrofoilach, w konkurencji Formuła Kite. Odbyło się łącznie czternaście wyścigów indywidualnych oraz trzynaście wyścigów Mixed. W Mistrzostwach Polski Formuły Kite Mixed, czyli sztafecie damsko-męskiej, najszybsza parą zostali Magdalena Woyciechowska i Maks Żakowski, który wygrali większość wyścigów. Drugie miejsce przypadło Julii Damasiewicz i Jakubowi Jurkowskiemu, a trzecie zajęli Nina Arcisz z Janem Koszowskim.

W wyścigach indywidualnych Formuły Kite najlepszą z kobiet była Julia Damasiewicz. Tuż za nią uplasowały się Magdalena Woyciechowska oraz Nina Arcisz. Należy nadmienić, że dziewczyny nie skończyły jeszcze dziewiętnastu lat, zatem zdobyły również podium w kategorii kobiet U19.

Wśród mężczyzn najszybszy okazał się wielokrotny Mistrz Polski, Maksymilian Żakowski. Drugie miejsce zajął Jakub Jurkowski, a trzecie Michał Wojciechowski. Jakub i Michał zdobyli również kolejno pierwsze i drugie miejsce w kategorii mężczyzn U19.

Najszybszy wśród młodzieży do lat szesnastu był Jan Koszowski, który również uplasował się na czwartym miejscu Overall.

Zawody w Rewie sponsorowała przede wszystkim firma Ford, ze swoim pierwszym, dynamicznym i ekologicznym SUVem Ford Kuga, dostępnym z systemem miękkiej hybrydy, systemem hybrydowym Plug-In i z pełnym hybrydowym zespołem napędowym. Oprócz marki Ford, zawody wspiera Red Bull, dostarczając odpowiednią porcję energii oraz firmy Duotone i Ion, wiodący na świecie producenci sprzętu kite’owego.

Patronat nad zawodami objęły redakcje TV TTM, Radio Norda FM, Dziennik Bałtycki, Magazyn Prestiż, Magazyn Elle Man oraz portale freestyle.pl, nadmorski24.pl, biznesnafali.pl, sieplywa.pl, jachting.com.
