Rozpoczął dobrze dla przyjezdnych Bartosz Janeczek, ale do pierwszej przerwy technicznej zawodnicy LOTOSu Trefla uzyskali niewielką przewagę. Pomimo seryjnego psucia zagrywki, dzięki dobrej grze Serhiya Kapelusa i wspomnianego Janeczka bielszczanie wciąż byli jednak w grze, nie pozwalając za bardzo gdańszczanom odjechać. Po drugim time-oucie goście wyrównali, a po dwóch skutecznych atakach Bartłomieja Neroja i trzech kolejnych blokach Kamila Kwasowskiego objęli prowadzenie 21:17. W końcówce zaskoczeni gdańszczanie popełniali hurtowo błędy w ataku i na zagrywce i oddawali gościom punkty. Ci zaś utrzymywali wypracowany dystans i dążyli do zwycięstwa w tym secie. Partię zakończył Miłosz Hebda psując zagrywkę (21:25)
Drugą partię podrażnieni żółto-czarni rozpoczęli z wielkim animuszem, chcąc jak najszybciej zatrzeć złe wrażenie w pierwszej części meczu. Objęli prowadzenie, które systematycznie zwiększali. Dużo dobrego robił Artur Ratajczak, który zarówno skutecznie atakował, jak i blokował. Dzielnie sekundował mu Wojciech Grzyb. Podopieczni Andrei Anastasiego zdecydowanie poprawili zagrywkę i nie popełniali już zbyt wielu własnych błędów. Gościom niewiele pomogła zmiana rozgrywającego. As serwisowy Grzyba zatrzymał gości na 18 zdobytych punktach (25:18).
Trzecia odsłona była wyrównana tylko do pierwszego czasu technicznego. Po chwili zaczął się teatr jednego aktora. Murphy Troy zdobył dla gospodarzy sześć kolejnych punktów. Łącznie w całym secie uzbierał ich 10. Kapitalnie serwował (dwa kolejne asy), blokował, a zwłaszcza atakował. Po kolejnym ataku Amerykanina miejscowi prowadzili czterema oczkami (12:8), a tuż przed i po drugim time-oucie dwa ciosy atakującego LOTOSu Trefla dały gdańszczanom już siedem punktów przewagi (17:10). Trener Krzysztof Stelmach ponownie próbował zmiany na pozycji rozgrywającego, wprowadzając ponownie Grzegorza Pilarza, ale nie zmieniło to w znaczącym stopniu gry gości. Ostatnie piłki w secie uzyskali gdańszczanie w wyniku zepsutych ataków Kwasowskiego i Mateusza Sacharewicza (25:18).
Przyjezdni koniecznie chcieli doprowadzić do tie breaka i w czwartej partii prowadzili na pierwszym czasie technicznym 8:6. Nadal skuteczni byli zwłaszcza Janeczek i Kapelus.
Po dwóch skończonych atakach Hebdy gospodarze odzyskali jednak rezon i powoli odwracali wynik tego seta. Skutecznie zaczął funkcjonować ich blok. Ten element gry nie istniał zaś po drugiej stronie siatki. Dodatkowo atak, a po chwili zagrywkę zepsuł Kwasowski i na drugiej przerwie regulaminowej prowadzili już gdańszczanie 16:11. Po serii serwisowej Grzyba przewaga miejscowych osiągnęła już 6 punktów (19:13), a po punktowym bloku Troya – nawet siedem. Końcówkę ostatniego aktu tego spotkania mimo trzech popełnionych błędów, żółto-czarni doprowadzili do szczęśliwego finału, a seta i mecz zakończył asem serwisowym Troy. Wynik – podobnie, jak wcześniejszych wygranych przez siatkarzy LOTOSu Trefla setów – 25:18!
Trzy punkty zdobyte w tym meczu pozwoliły zawodnikom Anastasiego wyprzedzić Cerrad Czarnych Radom o dwa punkty (i o jeden Cuprum, które jednak rozegrało jeden mecz więcj) i wysunąć się na czwartą lokatę w tabeli Plus Ligi. Teraz znów żółto-czarni mająwszystko we własnych rękach.
