Znów pierwszy strzał odbił Pavels Steinbors, ale był bezradny wobec dobitki Zlatko Janjicia.
Skarceni gdynianie nie mogli się długo pozbierać. Odważniej do przodu ruszyli dopiero po 70. minucie. Kwadrans przed końcem w pole karne kielczan wpadł Frederik Helstrup, który został powalony przez Olivera Petraka. Pan Marciniak nie miał wątpliwości, wskazując na wapno. Jedenastkę pewnym strzałem pod poprzeczkę wykorzystał Damian Zbozień. Arka natarła, ale znów zapomniała o obronie, co omal nie skończyło się trzecią bramką dla złoto-krwistych.
Statystycznie gdynianie nie wypadli w tym spotkaniu źle. Mieli co prawda mniej strzałów, zwłaszcza tych celnych, ale z kolei częściej byli w posiadaniu piłki I celniej podawali. Przebiegli też o prawie 6 km więcej od rywali. Mecz to jednak nie maraton, jak podsumował po meczu kapitan Arki Adam Marciniak i kielczanie wygrali jak najbardziej zasłużenie.
Przed Arka kolejny mecz, tym razem 1 września w Gdyni żółto-niebiescy podejmą Zagłębie Sosnowiec. I innej opcji niż zdobycie trzech punktów nikt sobie nie wyobraża.
