Po dwie bramki w tym okresie zdobyły: Katarzyna Janiszewska i Aleksandra Zych, a jedno trafienie dołożyła Patricia Matieli.
Po kontuzji oka odniesionej na grudniowych mistrzostwach świata do gry wróciła Joanna Szarawaga. To ona zdobyła inauguracyjną bramkę tego spotkania.
Po zmianie stron przewaga przyjezdnych było jeszcze wyższa. Po 7 bramkach zdobytych przez gdyńskie zawodniczki z rzędu było nawet 29:13. Największa w tym zasługa Pauliny Uścinowicz. 18-latka zdobyła 8 bramek, wszystkie po przerwie. Rzucała wówczas także rzuty karne, gdyż przy pierwszej próbie z siedmiu metrów zatrzymana została Zych. Ostatecznie GTPR zakończył mecz ze zdobyczą dokładnie dwukrotnie większą niż rywalki.
Kto stanie tym razem na drodze gdynianek zdecyduje losowanie. Mecze ćwierćfinałowe zaplanowane są na 28 lutego.
