Postulat został wysłuchany i oto po około półtora roku Gdynia doczekała się skateparku z prawdziwego zdarzenia. Pasjonaci sportów ekstremalnych będą mogą korzystać z jednego z największych i najnowocześniejszych w północnej Polsce obiektów tego typu, zbudowanego na skwerze Sue Ryder. Skatepark, zbudowany dzięki współpracy Miasta Gdyni oraz AB Inwestor. Nowy obiekt posiada wszystkie elementy niezbędne do nauki i doskonalenia jazdy na rowerach BMX, deskorolkach i rolkach.
Prezydent Miasta Gdyni – Wojciech Szczurek, właściciel AB Inwestor – Andrzej Boczek oraz Fundacja Skatepark Gdynia zapraszają na oficjalne otwarcie obiektu, które odbędzie się w poniedziałek 1 września o godzinie 14.00. Będzie można zobaczyć popisy najlepszych trójmiejskich zawodników, odbędą się także zawody w każdej z popularnych dyscyplin sportów ekstremalnych.
