Rywalizację w FIBA Europe Cup „Pszczoły” rozpoczęły od domowego spotkania z Treflem Sopot. Gospodarze zwyciężyli 69:68, ale mieli w tym dużo szczęścia, gdyż w ostatniej sekundzie meczu rzut z dogodnej pozycji oddał Yannick Franke, jednak piłka „zatańczyła” na koszu i ostatecznie nie wpadła. Tydzień później drużyna udała się do Izraela na mecz z Hapoelem Eilat. Po trzech kwartach gospodarze prowadzili 58:54, lecz decydująca część meczu należała do Kyiv-Basket i to zespół z Ukrainy mógł cieszyć się z drugiego zwycięstwa w rozgrywkach (78:86). Po takim początku ekipa Ainarasa Bagatskisa leciała na mecz z Rilskim, który przegrał dwa pierwsze spotkania, jako zdecydowany faworyt, ale w Bułgarii doszło do nie lada sensacji – miejscowi zwyciężyli i to aż 96:80!
Pod względem statystycznym liderem Kyiv-Basket w rozgrywkach europejskich jest Michael Caffey, który przeciętnie notuje 13.3 punktów na spotkanie.
