Przegrali rugbiści RC Arki, ich los podzielili koszykarze Asseco Arki, a niejako „na deser” do ogromnej niespodzianki doszło w Sosnowcu, gdzie VBW Arka Gdynia przegrała z Zagłębiem. Mistrzynie Polski przed tym meczem były niepokonane w Energa Basket Lidze Kobiet ( licząc sezony zasadnicze) od 55 spotkań.
Drużyna z Gdyni, która od wielu spotkań nie zaznała smaku porażki na parkietach Energa Basket Ligi Kobiet, po bardzo słabej szczególnie ostatniej kwarcie uległa ekipie z Sosnowca. Po 20 minutach gry gospodynie prowadziły 46:41, ale po zmianie stron Arka zagrała koncertowo i serią 14:0 wyszła na 4 – punktowe prowadzenie 55:51.
Gdy wydawało się, że zespół trenera Gundarsa Vetry pójdzie za ciosem – stało się zupełnie odwrotnie. Kolejne minuty Zagłębie wygrało aż 33:6 i ostatecznie po raz pierwszy w historii występów w ekstraklasie pokonało VBW Arkę Gdynia. Nina Bogicević rzuciła 20 punktów, a po 19 dodały Aishah Sutherland i Sarah Sagerer.
