W wyjściowym składzie pojawili się tym razem Mateusz Żebrowski i Marcus da Silva, którzy w meczu z Widzewem byli zmiennikami. I to właśnie Żebrowski był autorem pierwszej groźnej akcji w tym spotkaniu. Dynamicznie wszedł z prawej strony w pole karne Górnika, lecz jego próba dogrania do jednego z partnerów została w ostatniej chwili zablokowana. W odpowiedzi szybką akcję przeprowadzili gospodarze. Mateusz Piątkowski zaraz po wejściu w pole karne oddał mocny płaski strzał, ale nieznacznie chybiony.
W 9 minucie Arkowcy byli bardzo bliscy objęcia prowadzenia. Na lewym skrzydle akcję zainicjował Żebrowski, który dostrzegł w polu karny da Silvę, a Marcus naciskany przez obrońców obsłużył podaniem Olafa Kobackiego. Bohater meczu z Widzewem oddał mocny celny strzał, ale Marcin Furtak zdołał odbić to uderzenie.
Na kolejną sytuację musieliśmy poczekać dziesięć minut. Kobacki wystąpił tym razem w roli dośrodkowującego w pole karne, a tam piłkę sięgnął głową Karol Czubak, lecz nie zdołał skierować jej w światło bramki.
W 21 minucie po strzale z dystansu Kajetana Szmyta musiał interweniować Kacper Krzepisz. Próba piłkarza gospodarzy była dość mocna, a piłka dodatkowo skozłowała przed Kacprem, dlatego zadanie nie było najłatwiejsze.
W 25 minucie niewiele zabrakło do szczęścia Żebrowskiemu. Po przejęciu piłki zagranej przez da Silvę, Mateusz uderzył z lewej strony bramki po ziemi, ale tylko w boczną siatkę. Chwilę później Furtak z kłopotami, ale ostatecznie z powodzeniem wyłapał zagranie pod bramkę Christiana Alemana, a w 32 minucie Kobacki znów świetnie centrował z prawego skrzydła. Adresatem jego zagrania ponownie był Czubak, który wślizgiem próbował sięgnąć futbolówkę, lecz bez sukcesu.
Arka atakowała i wydawało się, że gol dla gdynian jest kwestią czasu. Tymczasem szybki wypad gospodarzy pozwolił im otworzyć wynik meczu w 40 minucie. Piątkowski przeprowadził akcję prawym skrzydłem i zagrał w pole karne, gdzie zdążyło już wrócić pięciu gdynian, a mimo to piłka po nodze Żebrowskiego dotarła do Adriana Purzyckiego, który z dwóch metrów wpakował ją do siatki. Niemal od razu odpowiedzieć golem mógł Żebrowski, ale w dogodnej sytuacji uderzył wysoko ponad bramką.
Po zmianie stron na boisku nie było już Czubaka i da Silvy, bo zmienili ich Luis Valcarce i Adam Danch. Pierwsza groźna akcja nadeszła ze strony Alemana, który po przebiegnięciu z piłką kilkudziesięciu metrów uderzył ponad bramką. W odpowiedzi górnicy znów zaskoczyli arkowców. Po szybkiej akcji w 56 minucie piłkę w polu karnym przejął Piątkowski, który zdecydował się na strzał, a piłka po rykoszecie zatrzymała się dopiero w bramce strzeżonej pzez Krzepisza.
W 64 minucie piłkarze Arki próbowali zaskoczyć Furtaka ze stałego fragmentu gry. Rzut wolny wykonał Hubert Adamczyk, który wyłożył piłkę na strzał Kobackiemu na 20 metr. Uderzenie Olafa trafiło jednak w… jednego z jeo kolegów ustawionych w polu karnym Górnika i dla gospodarzy skończyło się na strachu. Zamiast gola kontaktowego niewiele brakowało, a byłoby kolejne trafienie dla polkowiczan. Do piłki w polu karnym dopadł Piątkowski, minął już Krzepisza, ale ofiarna interwencja Arkadiusza Kasperkiewicza uchroniła żółto-niebieskich przed utratą bramki. Wślizg naszego obrońcy zatrzymał uderzenie z 2 metrów.
W 70 minucie zapachniało bramką dla Arki po akcji Nestora Gordillo. Hiszpan obchodzący akurat 32 urodziny mógł sprawić sobie i Arce prezent. Zszedł na lewą stronę z piłką przy nodze i uderzył po ziemi z 14 metrów, ale czujny Furtka odbił futbolówkę, która przy słupku zmierzała do jego bramki. Trzy minuty później z dystansu poszukał szczęścia Kobacki, jednak znów bez efektu.
W 81 minucie znów skuteczność nie dopisała Gordillo. Nestor doszedł do zagrania z prawej strony w okolice dalszego słupka, tam oddał jednak nieczysty strzał i Furtak znów był górą. Dwie minuty później faulowany w polu karnym gospodarzy był Kobacki. Sędzia wskazał na wapno. Do piłki na jedenastym metrze podszedł Adamczyk i pewnym strzałem zdobył bramkę kontaktową (zdjęcie góne)!
Arka od tej chwili już całą drużyną napierała na bramkę polkowiczan. Strzelali: Adam Deja, Adamczyk, Kasperkiewicz, ale wszystkie próby były blokowane. Do bramki wreszcie dotarła piłka uderzona przez Kobackiego, ale drogę zagrodził jej Furtak. I to była ostatnia okazja dla Arki, na wywiezienie z Polkowic choćby jednego punktu.
Dla beniaminka z Polkowic była to pierwsza wygrana w sezonie, dla Arki pierwsza wyjazdowa porażka i z pewnością spore rozczarowanie. Pozostaje wyciągnąć wnioski i walczyć o zwycięstwa w kolejnych spotkaniach. Najbliższa okazja już w sobotę, gdy do Gdyni zawita Odra Opole.
