Gran Fondo Gdynia już weekend!

W weekend Gdynia stanie się stolicą amatorskiego kolarstwa szosowego. Na malowniczej i pagórkowatej trasie po Kaszubach wystartuje ponad 500 osób. W tym gronie znaleźli się też byli wybitni zawodowi kolarze – Piotr Wadecki oraz Cezary Zamana. Już w najbliższą niedzielę, po rocznej przerwie spowodowanej pandemią COVID-19, do rywalizacji na trasie po Kaszubach powrócą kolarki i kolarze startujący w Gran Fondo Gdynia. Na amatorów spragnionych szosowego ścigania czekają aż trzy dystanse:

  • Gran Fondo – 120 km
  • Medio Fondo – 77 km
  • Family Fondo – 24 km Zanim jednak na trasę wyjadą dorośli, do rywalizacji w Gran Fondo Kids przystąpią dzieci. Już w sobotę najmłodsi kolarze będą się ścigać na pętli wokół Stadionu Miejskiego w Gdyni

Tego samego dnia w miasteczku kolarskim przygotowano sporo atrakcji. Od godz. 11:00 aż do 20:00 zapraszamy do odwiedzin Bike Expo, gdzie znajdziemy szereg wystawców ze sprzętem i akcesoriami kolarskimi, w tym oficjalny sklep Gran Fondo Series. W tych samych godzinach funkcjonować również będzie Muzeum Zabytkowych Rowerów, które każdy może bezpłatnie zwiedzić. Zobaczymy kultowe rowery jak Pelikan, Wigry 3 czy eksponaty nawet z lat 20-tych XX wieku.

Niedziela od świtu to czas zarezerwowany dla dorosłych uczestników startujących w Gran Fondo Gdynia. Punktualnie o godz. 7:00 na trasę wyjadą kolarze startujący na najdłuższym dystansie liczącym aż 120 kilometrów. W tym gronie amatorzy będą mieli okazję spotkać wyjątkowego uczestnika, byłego profesjonalistę Piotra Wadeckiego – olimpijczyka z Sydney, czterokrotnego Mistrza Polski. W drugiej kolejności na trasie pojawią się zawodnicy z dystansu Medio Fondo. Będą mieli do pokonania 77 km po malowniczej i pagórkowatej trasie po Kaszubach. Na start na tym dystansie zdecydował się Cezary Zamana, były Mistrz Polski, zwycięzca Tour de Pologne.

Z takimi legendami polskiego kolarstwa będą mogli się więc ścigać uczestnicy Gran Fondo Gdynia. Jako ostatni, o godz. 7:10, do rywalizacji przystąpią uczestnicy dystansu Family Fondo o długości 24 km. To idealna trasa dla całych rodzin lub osób, które rekreacyjnie jeżdżą na rowerze

Red Bull – partner klasyku kolarskiego dla amatorów Gran Fondo Gdynia jest fundatorem nagrody dla zwycięzcy premii lotnej. Zawodnik, który osiągnie najkrótszy czas przejazdu na ostatnim kilometrze trasy Gran Fondo Gdynia zostanie zaproszony na co-drive z Jakubem Przygońskim, kierowcą rajdowym, czwartym zawodnikiem Rajdu Dakar 2019. Na Gran Fondo Poznań jest już zarejestrowanych ponad 500 zawodników. Podobnie jak w Gdyni do wyboru są trzy dystanse: Gran Fondo, Medio Fondo oraz Family Fondo i gwarancja szybkiej, płaskiej trasy.
