Tamika Catchings została uhonorowana w koszykarskiej Galerii Sław w amerykańskim Springfield. Czterokrotna złota medalistka olimpijska zdobyła mistrzostwo Polski z ówczesnym Lotosem Gdynia w sezonie 2008/09. 

Tamika Catchings dołączyła do Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. To koszykarska Galeria Sławy im. Naismitha, mieszcząca się w amerykańskim Springfield, w stanie Massachusetts. Uhonorowywani są w niej najwybitniejsze zawodniczki i zawodnicy, trenerzy, sędziowie i osoby związane z koszykówką.

Amerykanka występowała w Lotosie Gdynia w sezonie 2008/09. Razem z drużyną zdobyła mistrzostwo Polski. Na polskich parkietach rozegrała 15 spotkań. Zdobywała średnio 14,7 punkty przy niespełna 27 minutach gry. 

Gdynianki rywalizowały wówczas również w Eurolidze, ale swój udział zakończyły w 1/8 finału po porażce z tureckim Fenerbahce (83:87, 63:60, 76:79).

Koszykarka przed zakończeniem kariery zagrała jeszcze w Galatasaray i Guangdong Dolphins. W swoim CV ma również takie kluby, jak: Spartak Moskwa, Chicago Blaze, Chuncheon Woori Bank Hansae czy Indiana Fever.

Amerykanka czterokrotnie zdobywała złoto olimpijskie, a dwukrotnie mistrzostwo świata. W swoim dorobku ma również mistrzostwo WNBA oraz Korei.

Warto wspomnieć, że to kolejna zawodniczka, którą uhonorowano w amerykańskim muzeum. Już wcześniej w nim znalazła się Katie Smith, która dla Lotosu Gdynia grała w sezonie 2001/02
