Początek spotkania był nerwowy dla obu stron, a to przekładało się na skuteczność i niski wynik. Później trójki trafiał Josh Bostic, ale akcjami 2+1 odpowiadali Michał Kolenda i Nana Foulland. Asseco Arka złapała swój rytm, a z dystansu rzucali Dariusz Wyka i Ben Emelogu – to pozwalało tej ekipie na budowanie przewagi. Po akcji Krzysztofa Szubargi po 10 minutach było 28:22.

Na początku drugiej kwarty sopocianie bardzo szybko znów zbliżyli do gosodarzy, ale ci wykorzystywali trójki Bostica i znowu odskakiwali. Pod koszami wyróżniał się Foulland – to właśnie dzięki niemu zespół trenera Marcina Stefańskiego ciągle był w grze. Po wejściu Carlosa Medlocka pierwsza połowa zakończyła się prowadzeniem gospodarzy, ale tylko 40:37.

Od pierwszych akcji trzeciej kwarty Trefl był ciągle blisko przeciwników, a po trójce Camerona Ayersa osiągnął remis! Po kilku chwilach trafienie Pawła Leończyka dało sopocianom prowadzenie. Teraz to Asseco Arka musiała odrabiać straty, a pomagał w tym nie kto inny jak Bostic. Amerykanin był wszędzie i swoją grą i zaangażowaniem udowadniał każdym zagraniem, że władze gdyńskiego klubu wybierając między nim, a Jamesem Florence’m dokonały słusznego wyboru. Po 30 minutach był remis – po 56.

Rzuty Łukasza Kolendy i Medlocka sprawiły, że ekipa trenera Stefańskiego uzyskała nawet pięciopunktową przewagę. Gdynianie odpowiedzieli na to błyskawicznie serią 11:0, za którą trzeba wyróżnić Adama Hrycaniuka i… Bostica. Później trójkę dołożył jeszcze Leyton Hammons, a zespół Przemysława Frasunkiewicza kontrolował już wydarzenia na parkiecie. Ostatecznie zwyciężył 87:66. Obok Josha Bostica, który zdobył 24 punkty, szczególnie wyróżnił się Ben Emelogu, który rzucił 15 oczek, wszystkie z trójek, a do dorobku dołożył 5 zbiórek. W drużynie Trefla dwucyfrowy wynik punktowy uzyskali Paweł Leończyk – 14 i Carlos Medlock. Ten pierwszy dołożył do wyniku 6 zbiórek, a drugi – 3 zbiórki i 7 asyst. 10 zbiórek zanotował Witalij Kowalenko, który zdobył też 8 oczek.
