Słyszymy często, że mecze derbowe zawsze rządzą się swoimi prawami, a ekipy będące w słabszej formie grają wbrew wszelkim przewidywaniom. Wtorkowe derby Trójmiasta nie były pod tym względem zaskakujące. Tak jak zwykle również atmosfera była gęsta długo przed początkiem meczu. Emocje dodatkowo podgrzała pewna niespotykana sytuacja. Pierwszy gwizdek sędziego poprzedziła mianowicie nagła, choć niezbyt szokująca wiadomość. Mniej więcej godzinę przed rozpoczęciem spotkania na swoim twitterowym koncie Dominik Midak poinformował, że derby Trójmiasta będą dla Zbigniewa Smółki ostatnim meczem w roli szkoleniowca żółto-niebieskich.
Już od pierwszej minuty było wiadomo, że Arkowcy włożą w to starcie maksimum zaangażowania. Żółto-niebiescy byli bliscy zdobycia gola już w 17 minucie, gdy z piłką dograną przez Nabila Aankoura, Aleksandar Kolew minął się o parę centymetrów. Niewiele zabrakło również pod koniec pierwszej połowy, gdy po główce Macieja Jankowskiego zadrżała poprzeczka. Lechiści mieli mnóstwo stałych fragmentów gry, lecz obrońcy Arki pozostali czujni i utrzymali czyste konto. Tuż po przerwie piłka wpadła do siatki. Wrzut z autu Damiana Zbozienia przedłużył Kolew, do piłki doskoczył Adam Marciniak, a wbił ją do bramki Aankour. Gol jednak został anulowany po czterech minutach wideoweryfikacji. Podczas doliczonego czasu gry wszystkim kibicom na moment zabiły mocniej serca. Aleksandyr Kolew oddał strzał z półobrotu, ale Dusan Kuciak szczęśliwie sparował piłkę na słupek.
Arka była niewiarygodnie blisko zwycięstwa, lecz ostatecznie dopisuje sobie w tabeli tylko jeden punkt po bezbramkowym remisie. Punkt, który pozostawia spory niedosyt i przedłuża niechlubną serię, ale z drugiej strony trzeba go uszanować. Został wywalczony w spotkaniu z liderem Ekstraklasy, a zawodnicy włożyli w to całe serce. Następnym ligowym rywalem Arki będzie Pogoń Szczecin – ekipa, z którą żółto-niebiescy mają ostatnio koszmarny bilans. Brzmi, jak idealna okazja do przełamania…
