Sto siedem jachtów wystartowało w 67. Błękitnej Wstędze Zatoki Gdańskiej. W rozgrywanym w formule australijskiej wyścigu, w którym zwycięzcą jest pierwszy jacht na mecie, najlepszy okazał się Jacek Noetzel, komandor UKS Navigo Sopot, pływający na katamaranie A-class Exploder. Dwa tygodnie temu wieszczył on zwycięstwo teamów Nacra 17, ale na swoje szczęście się pomylił.
– Nie spodziewałem się, że mi się uda znów zwyciężyć – mówi Jacek Noetzel. – Wydawało mi się, że dwie załogi klasy Nacra 17 bardzo dobrze dzisiaj popłyną – i popłynęły, ale łódki okazały się trochę wolniejsze na kursie ostrym. Halsówkę do Gdańska bardzo dobrze pokonałem, bo mam szybką łódkę.
W grupie I zwyciężył jacht „Globe” ze sternikiem Zbigniewem Gutkowskim (Jachtklub Stoczni Gdańskiej. Druga była „Selma Racing” Artura Skrzyszowskiego (Royal Ocean Racing Club), a trzeci „Scamp 27” Witolda Karałowa (YCTS).
W grupie II najlepszy był „Barakam” ze sternikiem Michałem Śliwą (niezrzeszony), drugi „PGO GoodSpeed” Łukasza Trzcińskiego (Jachtklub Stoczni Gdańskiej), tegorocznego mistrza Polski ORC załóg jedno i wieloosobowych. Ostatnie miejsce na podium przypadło Piotrowi Falkowi (JKM „Gryf” Gdynia) na „BLUESinA”.
– Po dzisiejszych regatach mam niesamowite wrażenia, a pogoda nam strasznie sprzyjała – tłumaczy Łukasz Trzciński. – Perfekcyjnie dobraliśmy załogę i bardzo udał nam się start. Przez niemal cały wyścig byliśmy pierwsi, niestety dopiero na końcu jedna łódka nas wyprzedziła. Ale bardzo się cieszę, że byliśmy przed wieloma szybszymi i lżejszymi jachtami od nas.
„Salamander” dowodzony przez Radosława Cierpiała zwyciężył w klasyfikacji grupy III. Drugie było „Jaricho” Zbigniewa Cholewa (JKM „Gryf” Gdynia), a trzecia „Roca Polska” Joanny Dec-Galuk (77 Racing Club Gdańsk).
W grupie IV, dla jachtów wielokadłubowych, triumfował Jacek Noetzel, drugi był Michał Korneszczuk (Yacht Club Gdańsk) na „Peppa 2”, a na trzeciej pozycji załoga Tymoteusz Bendyk i Ania Świtajska (UKS Navigo Sopot) na olimpijskiej Nakrze 17.
Michał Domański (niezrzeszony) na „Mach2” zwyciężył w grupie V, dla jachtów mieczowych. Drugi był Kamil Ortyl (JKM Roda Gdynia) na „VBW”, a trzeci Marcin Styborski (PG Racing Politechnika Gdańska) na „PG Racing II”.
Prestiżowa czerwona latarnia, nagroda dla ostatniego jachtu na mecie, trafiła w tym roku do Andrzeja Kalarusa (YK Stal Gdynia) na „Ealn E1”. Specjalne trofeum dla najszybszego jachtu drewnianego otrzymał z kolei jacht „Orion”, a odebrał ją 93-letni Franciszek Bronisław Kuśnierz (JKM „Gryf” Gdynia), który ścigał się nim z sukcesami przez kilkadziesiąt lat w najważniejszych bałtyckich regatach.
– Błękitna Wstęga Zatoki Gdańskiej to jak zawsze dużo sportowych emocji i dobra żeglarska zabawa – podsumowuje Bogusław Witkowski, prezes Pomorskiego Związku Żeglarskiego i wiceprezes Polskiego Związku Żeglarskiego ds. morskich. – Tak samo jak cały sezon, tak i te regaty – będące ważnym punktem żeglarskiego kalendarza – uważam za udane.
67. Błękitna Wstęga Zatoki Gdańskiej była również okazją do odznaczenia trzech członków załogi jachtu „Copernicus”, którzy w latach 1973-1974 wzięli udział w wokółziemskich regatach Whitbread Round the World Race. Honorową odznakę „Zasłużony dla Żeglarstwa Pomorskiego” od Pomorskiego Związku Żeglarskiego otrzymali Ryszard Mackiewicz, Bronisław Tarnacki i Bogdan Bogdziński.
Organizatorem 67. Błękitnej Wstęgi Zatoki Gdańskiej był Yacht Klub „Stal” Gdynia, a partnerem Pomorski Związek Żeglarski. Patronat medialny nad imprezą objęli: W Ślizgu, Prestiż i portal Żeglarski.info.
