Lowlanders od początku nastawili się na biegi Mikołaja Pawlaczyka, który jednak w pierwszej serii ofensywnej trzykrotnie został szybko zatrzymany przez defensywnych liniowych gości, na czele z Arkadiuszem Cieślokiem. Jastrzębie jednak również nie potrafiły zagrozić obronie rywali, dlatego pierwsza kwarta opierała się na puntach, by jak najbardziej oddalić zagrożenie od własnego pola punktowego. Po jednym z odkopnięć gospodarzy błąd popełnił returner znad morza, który wypuścił z rąk piłkę, przejętą już po chwili przez Ludzi z Nizin. Do endzone ekipie z Podlasia brakowało 11 jardów, czego jednak nie potrafili zamienić na touchdown. Już w następnej akcji bowiem futbolówka została zgubiona i przechwycił ją Jakub Muraszko. Warunki pogodowe z czasem coraz bardziej się poprawiały, co powodowało, że gra była o wiele bardziej atrakcyjna dla kibiców. Sack na Josephie Bradleyu udało się zanotować Damianowi Wesołowskiemu. Seahawks mogli objąć prowadzenie po kopnięciu z pola Przemysława Portalskiego, lecz jego próba field goala została zablokowana.
W drugiej kwarcie ulewny deszcz ustawał coraz bardziej, co pozwoliło obu drużynom prezentować akcje podaniowe. I to właśnie po takim rozegraniu przyłożeniem wynik meczu otworzył Jakub Mazan. Po udanym kopnięciu Portalskiego Jastrzębie prowadziły 7:0. Lowlanders zdołali jednak po kilku minutach odpowiedzieć, chociaż nie byli w stanie doprowadzić do remisu. Efektowny, długi bieg zaprezentował Pawlaczyk. Dzięki swojemu running backowi Ludzie z Nizin przybliżali się do pola punktowego, aż w końcu reprezentant Polski na około pół minuty przed końcem drugiej kwarty zmienił rezultat na 6:7. W wyniku złego snapa jednak podwyższenie nie było udane.
Trzecia kwarta rozpoczęła się zdecydowanie lepiej dla ekipy z Gdyni. Jastrzębie swoją silną defensywą zepchnęły rywali aż pod pole punktowe, z którego Ryan Kasdorf musiał wykonać punt. Nie był on udany i futbolówka pozostała na połowie Lowlanders, z czego już po chwili skorzystali przyjezdni. Około 6-jardowa akcja podaniowa dała drugi touchdown Mazana, a na 6:14 rezultat zmienił udanym kopnięciem Portalski. Ludzie z Nizin nie dawali przeciwnikom na długo “odskoczyć”. Podanie Kasdorfa do Bartłomieja Trubaja przyniosło touchdown i celem ekipy z Podlasia był remis, który mogliby osiągnąć po udanym 2-punktowym podwyższeniu. Akcji podaniowej spróbował Kasdorf, który będąc pod presją Cieśloka tuż przed powaleniem wyrzucił futbolówkę, a ta trafiła wprost w ręce James’a Gales’a. Amerykanin pobiegł z nią w pole punktowe, co oznaczało dwa “oczka” dla wciąż aktualnych wicemistrzów Polski. Lowlanders nie załamali się po nieudanym podwyższeniu. Wręcz przeciwnie – już po chwili udało im się wrócić do ataku dzięki udanemu onside kickowi. Piłkę odzyskał Maciej Maksimowicz. Po udanym dalekim podaniu Kasdorfa do Konrada Mariańskiego Ludzie z Nizin byli już w redzone ekipy z Gdyni. Dzięki biegom Pawlaczyka udało im się przesunąć pod samo pole punktowe, natomiast tę serię ofensywną sfinalizował 1-jardową solową akcją na przyłożenie Kasdorf. Po udanym kopnięciu Trubaja białostoczanie odwrócili prowadzenie w meczu, 19:16.
Ostatnia część tego spotkania potwierdziła już tylko przewagę gospodarzy. Ze świetnej strony pokazał się znów Pawlaczyk, który twardo trzymał się na nogach mimo kilku rywali “na plecach” i ponownie przesunął znacznik na jeden jard pod pole punktowe Seahawks. Po raz drugi także krótki bieg rozgrywającego Lowlanders dał touchdown, którego nie udało się podwyższyć. Po złym snapie sytuację ratować próbował Trubaj, lecz został zatrzymany na drugim jardzie. Jastrzębie chciały rzucić się do ataku i odrobić straty, lecz skrzydła podciął im Marcin Kaim, notując interception po dalekim podaniu Bradleya. Defensor Ludzi z Nizin popisał się także długą akcją powrotną, co pozwoliło chwilę później Pawlaczykowi na bieg w endzone. Końcowy rezultat na 33:16 ustalił udanym podwyższeniem po akcji podaniowej Tomasz Zubrycki. Seahawks nie zdołali już zaskoczyć Ludzi z Nizin, którzy w samej końcówce zaprezentowali szczelną obronę. Wyróżnił się Wesołowski, notując drugi sack na amerykańskim quarterbacku ekipy z Gdyni. W ostatnich sekundach Lowlanders prezentowali akcje biegowe i spokojnie czekali na końcowy gwizdek, który oznaczał dla nich pierwszy w historii udział w meczu finałowym, którego stawką będzie mistrzostwo Polski.
