AZS rozpoczął bardzo ofensywnie, a po kolejnym trafieniu Nikoli Malesevicia prowadził już 9:2. Asseco doskonale odpowiadało – zanotowało serię 8:0 i po wsadzie Piotra Szczotki zdobyło przewagę. Dzięki trafieniu Filipa Puta po pierwszej partii było 17:13 dla gości. W drugiej kwarcie koszalinianie walczyli o odrabianie strat – po rzutach wolnych Malesevicia zbliżyli się nawet na punkt. Później znowu jednak świetny był Put, a dzięki akcjom Krzysztofa Szubargi po pierwszej połowie gdynianie wygrywali 36:27.
Na początku trzeciej kwarty zespół trenera Przemysława Frasunkiewicza uciekał rzutami z dystansu. Taką samą bronią odpowiadali Modestas Kumpys i Malesević, ale to Asseco kontrolowało wynik. Po trójce Jakuba Garbacza znowu miało 13 punktów przewagi. Po 30 minutach było 64:47. Ostatnią kwartę Asseco rozpoczęło od serii 9:2 i mogło już być pewne zwycięstwa. Do samego końca ekipa z Gdyni grała swoje i wygrała 84:66.
Filip Put zdobył dla gości 18 punktów, 3 zbiórki i 3 asysty. Nikola Malesević zanotował dla gospodarzy 27 punktów, 8 zbiórek i 5 asyst.
Mikołaj Witliński i Krzysztof Szubarga (obaj Asseco), którzy w przeszłości występowali w drużynie z Koszalina łącznie w tym meczu zdobyli 27 punktów.
Asseco wygrało rywalizację o zbiórki – 49:33. Gdynianie zanotowali aż 12 zbiórek ofensywnych (rywale tylko 4).
