Bydgoszczanie dopiero w końcówce dzięki rezerwom taktycznym zdołali wygrać kilka biegów i zmniejszyć rozmiary porażki.

Na końcowy sukces solidarnie zapracowali wszyscy zawodnicy. Indywidualne zdobycze mogłyby być bardziej okazałe gdyby nie rozprężenie, jakie wdarło się w zespół przy szesnastopunktowej przewadze. Najlepszy wynik wykręcił Kacper Gomólski. „Ginger” dał się pokonać tylko Oskarowi Ajtnerowi-Gollobowi. Do 8. wyścigu dzielnie wtórował mu Oskar Fajfer – para wychowanków Startu Gniezno wygrała podwójnie wszystkie trzy biegi, w których wspólnie startowała. 

W drużynie gospodarzy zgodnie z oczekiwaniami oprócz Ajtnera-Golloba prym wiedli Rosjanie Viktor Kulakov i Andrey Kudriashov. Na tym pozytywne akcenty Polonii się kończyły. Przeciętnie prezentował się Marcin Jędrzejewski, a juniorzy zmagali się z problemami sprzętowymi wskutek czego aż trzykrotnie byli wykluczani za przekroczenie czasu dwóch minut.
