W finale po kilku pojedynkach i zmianach miejsca w stawce, Szymek dojeżdża do mety na pozycji startowej. Decyzją sędziów, jeden z kierowców znajdujących się wyżej, zostaje zdyskwalifikowany. Tym samym Szymek kończy 2 rundę włoskiej edycji pucharu ROK na 10 pozycji. W klasyfikacji generalnej, po dwóch rundach plasuje się na 3 miejscu w grupie 48 zawodników.
