Rozpoczęło się od celnego rzutu za trzy punkty właśnie Filipa Matczaka i goście objęli prowadzenie 3:0. Po chwili pierwsze punkty dla gospodarzy zdobył Amerykanin Garry Bell. Po rzucie tego samego zawodnika w trzeciej minucie Siarka wyszła na prowadzenie 6:5. Po chwili punkty dla gospodarzy zdobył inny Amerykanin Zach Robbins i było 8:5. Gdynianie wyrównali co prawda na 8:8, ale od tej pory rozpoczął się bardzo dobry okres gry miejscowych. W ósmej minucie po rzucie za trzy punkty Wendella Millera było 14:8 dla Siarki. Szkoleniowiec gości poprosił wtedy o przerwę, ale wiele dobrego w postawę przyjezdnych ona nie wprowadziła, a kwarta otwarcia wygrana została przez gospodarzy.
Podobnie jak pierwsza tak i druga ćwiartka rozpoczęła się od punktów zdobytych przez Matczaka. Gdynianie rządzili wtedy na boisku i po trzech punktach zdobytych przez Sebastiana Kowalczyka był remis 22:22. Goście grali jak w transie, zdobyli 10 punktów z rzędu wygrywając po trafieniu trójki przez Przemysława Frasunkiewicza 27:22. Pierwsze pięć minut drugiej kwarty ekipa Asseco wygrała aż 15:1 a miejscowi sprawiali przygnębiające wrażenie. W końcu gracze Siarki przebudzili się, ale przewaga gości pozwalała im na prowadzenie spokojnej gry. Goście poczuli się jednak w pewnym momencie zbyt spokojnie, a ich przewaga stopniała do trzech punktów (34:31, 36:33). Gospodarze złapali wiatr w żagle i wracali do gry. Po skutecznie wykonanych przez Bella zrzutach wolnych Siarka odzyskała nawet na chwilę prowadzenie (37:36), ale w końcówce faulowany Matczak wykorzystał rzuty wolne i po 20 minutach rywalizacji był remis po 41.
Druga połowa rozpoczęła się po myśli miejscowych. Za trzy trafił Bell, ale później osiem punktów z rzędu zdobyli goście i po akcji Jakuba Parzeńskiego było 49:44.. Po trafieniu Bella gospodarze doszli rywali na punkt 53:54, a Amerykanin miał już na swoim koncie 31 „oczek”! Później Robbins doprowadził nawet do kolejnego wyrównania, ale ekipa z Gdyni nie odpuszczała i na minutę przed końcem trzeciej kwarty po wsadzie, ponownie Parzeńskiego, goście wygrywali 61:57. W samej końcówce tej części meczu trójki trafiali Frasunkiewicz i Wojciech Czerlonko, a gdynianie odskoczyli na 67:59.
Ostatnia kwarta rozpoczęła się od trójki Piotra Szczotki i sytuacja miejscowej drużyny stała się krytyczna. Podłamani gospodarze oddali rywalom inicjatywę tracąc aż 13 punktów z rzędu. Po trafieniu Matczaka Asseco prowadziło nawet 80:59 i… w tym momencie zespół Tane Spaseva całkowicie zablokował się w ataku. Przez blisko sześć minut punkty zdobywali tylko tarnobrzeżanie! Zryw ekipy Siarki w ostatnich minutach by imponujący, ale nieskuteczny. W samej końcówce miejscowi zbliżyli się do gdynian na dwa punkty po rzucie Bella, a na dwie sekundy przed syreną ten zawodnik miał w swoim ręku piłkę meczową. Nie trafił, a niecelna była też dobitka Robbinsa. Ostatecznie Asseco wygrało 80:78.
Filip Matczak z 25 punktami, sześcioma zbiórkami i pięcioma asystami był najlepszym zawodnikiem Asseco. Przemysław Frasunkiewicz dołożył do tego 15 punktów, 13 zbiórek i cztery asysty. W Siarce aż 38 punktów rzucił Gary Bell.
