Zawodnicy KSN Mewa Gdynia triumfatorami IV Turnieju Siatkówki Plażowej Niesłyszących

Impreza przebiegała pod patronatem prezydenta Gdyni Wojciecha Szczurka. Organizatorem turnieju był wspomniany gdyński Klub Sportowy Niesłyszących „Mewa” istniejący od stycznia 2011 i skupiający około 50 osób z całej Polski. Klub stara się organizować różne imprezy mające na celu integrację środowiska osób niesłyszących głównie poprzez sport. W ubiegłym roku zorganizowano „Weekend w chmurach”, czyli latanie na paralotni, organizuje się też biegi, a turniej siatkówki plażowej rozegrany został już po raz czwarty.

Na starcie stanęło 10 drużyn męskich i dwie kobiece, wobec powyższego organizatorzy zdecydowali się rozegrać zawody w systemie koedukacyjnym. Drużyny podzielono na dwie grupy po sześć zespołów, w każdej z nich znalazła się jedna ekipa żeńska. Mecze rozgrywano do dwóch wygranych setów do 15 punktów (od półfinałów do 21). 

W pierwszej grupie zdecydowanie dominowali zawodnicy Mazowsza Warszawa, którzy nie stracili nawet seta (przy czym z Mewą Gdynia wygrali walkowerem), natomiast zdecydowanymi liderami grupy drugiej byli gracze Seahawks Gdynia, w składzie których obok Łukasza Auguścika zobaczyliśmy futbolistę świeżo upieczonego Mistrza Polski o tej samej nazwie – Marcina Blumę, który zresztą uznany został najlepszym zawodnikiem (MVP) gdyńskiego turnieju. Co ciekawe jedynego seta dominatorom drugiej grupy urwała drużyna… Mazowsze kobiety, w której z kolei grała najlepsza siatkarka turnieju Magdalena Bierkowska.

W ćwierćfinałach obaj faworyci potwierdzili swoje aspiracje, natomiast w półfinale Mazowsze gładko 2:0 odprawiło olsztyńskiego Kormorana, a Jastrzębie potknęły się na Mewie, ulegając 0:2.

Tak więc w finale doszło do konfrontacji gospodarza turnieju Mewy z niepokonanym dotąd Mazowszem, które grupowy mecz ze swoim finałowym rywalem, jak wspomnieliśmy, wygrało walkowerem. Pierwszy set był bardzo wyrównany i do końca powodował emocje. Warszawiacy prowadzili bowiem 20:18, mieli dwie piłki setowe, ale gdynianie przetrwali tę próbę nerwów, zdobyli cztery kolejne punkty i wygrali seta 22:20.

W drugiej partii siatkarze Mewy Daniel Bartnicki i Jacek Patoła zdominowali całkowicie swoich rywali wygrywając gładko 21:15, a cały finał 2:0. W meczu o trzecie miejsce Seahawks pokonali Kormorana Olsztyn po tie breaku. {mp3}Masowy/Palucki{/mp3}

 

W czasie dekoracji zwycięzców wydarzyło się coś nieoczekiwanego (powyżej). Oto prezes organizatora turnieju, Klubu Sportowego Mewa, Maciej Węgrzynowski ukląkł nagle przed Magdaleną Adamczyk, sekretarzem tegoż klubu i ni mniej, ni więcej, tylko się jej publicznie oświadczył. Zaskoczona tym faktem kobieta przyjęła z jego rąk zaręczynowy pierścionek, a nie mniej zaszokowana publiczność nagrodziła ten „wyczyn” gromkimi oklaskami. Wystrzelił korek od szampana i wzniesiono toast za pomyślność narzeczonych.

 

Redakcja „Sportowej Gdyni” przyłącza się do najlepszych życzeń na nowej, wspólnej drodze życia.
