Gdynia najlepsza w pływaniu w płetwach

Zawody odbyły się na wodach Zatoki Gdańskiej w Gdyni wzdłuż Bulwaru Nadmorskiego im. Feliksa Nowowiejskiego. Start i meta miały miejsce na plaży w Gdyni Śródmieściu. Była to jedna z największych imprez sportowych w pływaniu w płetwach, zorganizowana na polskim wybrzeżu, do której zgłosiło się rekordowo dużo, 137 uczestników.

Ostateczne w Gdyni na starcie stanęło 118 zawodników (rekord frekwencji) z Polski i z Rosji, reprezentujących 17 stowarzyszeń i klubów.

Organizatorami zawodów był: Morski Klub Płetwonurków „FLOTA” Gdynia Oddziału PTTK Marynarki Wojennej, Gdyński Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji. Pomocy i wsparcia logistycznego udzieliły Jednostki Wojskowe Marynarki Wojennej i ratownicy WOPR. Honorowy patronat nad w/w imprezą sportową objął prezydent Gdyni Wojciech Szczurek.
Przed rozpoczęciem zawodów wystąpił Zespół Wokalny Marynarki Wojennej „RIWIERA”. Artyści dali wspaniały występ w klimacie szant i rozgrzali temperament zawodników przed startem. Koncert był wspaniałą wizytówką Marynarki Wojennej i Miasta Gdyni.

 

Po koncercie rozpoczęto zawody. Zawodnicy dzielnie walczyli, próbując pokonać siły natury oraz własne słabości. Temperatura wody wynosiła 15,3ºC. Każdy uczestnik otrzymał okolicznościową koszulkę a na mecie czekał pamiątkowy medal przygotowany specjalnie na tę imprezę sportową.

Niespodzianki nie było. Puchar ufundowany przez Prezydenta Miasta Gdyni zdobyty został po raz szósty z rzędu przez Morski Klub Płetwonurków „FLOTA” Gdynia Oddziału PTTK Marynarki Wojennej. Wspaniale i godnie zaprezentowali się zawodnicy trenera Krzysztofa Saracena. Punkty zdobywali: Kacper Bielski, Tomasz Dyszkant, Maria Dyś, Jakub Hinz, Ewa Kreft, Dawid Maruszak, Tymon Orłowski, Agnieszka Pękala, Piotr Rybiński, Maciej Szyszko, Jan Tuczko, Julian Tuczko, Tadeusz Wardziukiewicz, Dominik Zięba .      

Ośmioletnia Marysia Dyś została wyróżniona, jako najmłodsza zawodniczka zawodów Pucharem Prezydenta Miasta Gdyni.

 

Gdyńscy zawodnicy zdobyli w VI Mistrzostwach Polski PTTK łącznie 8 medali, w tym: 3 złote – Agnieszka Pękala, Jan Tuczko, PiotrRybiński, 3 – srebrne: Kacper Bielski, Michał Jaworski, Tadeusz Wardziukiewicz i 2 – brązowe: Julian Tuczko, Jakub Hinz  .

Za trud i ciężką pracę dla wszystkich osób zaangażowanych w organizację zawodów sportowych VI MP PTTK – VI Mistrzostw Gdyni w długodystansowym pływaniu w płetwach pod hasłem Gdyńska Mila Nurkowa 2014 i za wielkie serca zawodników, którzy startowali w zawodach składam wszystkim gorące i serdeczne podziękowania.
