19 października Parkrun Gdynia pobiegł po raz setny. Śmiało można powiedzieć, że wszystko odbyło się na miarę doniosłego jubileuszu. Po pierwsze dopisała aura – było słonecznie, bezwietrznie i rześko, pogoda wprost idealna do biegania. Po drugie znacząco pobiliśmy rekord uczestników – na starcie stanęły aż 134 osoby, w tym 30 debiutantów – cieszy się Jakub Fedorowicz, organizator Parkrun Gdynia.
Zwyciężył – po raz czwarty w swoim czwartym starcie – Daniel Formela, z czasem 15.55. To nie tylko rekord życiowy Daniela, ale również najlepszy wynik w historii gdyńskiego parkruna i pierwszy w naszym mieście poniżej 16 minut. Na drugim miejscu uplasował się Adam Dobrzyński z czasem 16.32, a na trzecim Holender Vincent Brom, który pokonał 5-kilometrową trasę w 18 minut i 45 sekund. Wśród pań wygrała Klaudia Brzeska z czasem 21.07, który także jest jej nowym rekordem życiowym. Kolejne pozycje zajęły: Laura Stolarczyk z wynikiem 21.55 i debiutantka Anita Kręgielska (21.59). Ogółem padły 34 nowe rekordy życiowe, jak więc widać klimat jubileuszowego biegu wielu osobom dodał skrzydeł.
Choć 100 to okrągła liczba, wielkiego świętowania nie było. Co prawda miłe pozdrowienia przesłali parkrunowcy z Krakowa i Gdańska, ale wielką pompę, tort i niespodzianki przewidziano dopiero na najbliższą sobotę 26 października. Będzie to feta z okazji 2. urodzin Parkrun Gdynia, połączona z treningiem w ramach akcji „Gdyńskie poruszenie”, w którym weźmie udział prezydent Gdyni.
