Podopieczne Vadima Czeczuro jedynie w przez 10 pierwszych spotkania stanowiły równorzędnego przeciwnika dla torunianek. Od drugiej kwarty dystans miedzy nimi, a przyjezdnymi stopniowo się zwiększał. Momentami przekraczał już 20 punktów, co oznacza różnicę klas. Zawodniczki Elmedina Omanica były lepsze w każdym praktycznie elemencie koszykarskiego rzemiosła. Trzykrotnie przebijały gdynianki w punktach spod kosza (48-16), prawie dwukrotnie w punktach po stratach (21-13), zdobyły 17 punktów po szybkim ataku, a gdynianki ani jednego. Dodatkowo miejscowe zanotowały prawie dwa razy więcej strat (32-18).

Energa prowadziła przez prawie 28 minut tego meczu, cały czas kontrolując jego przebieg, jedynie na początku, jak wspomniałem prowadziły miejscowe. Zawodniczki Riviery miały problem z trafieniem do kosza zarówno z akcji, jak i rzutów wolnych. Popełniały też mnóstwo błędów w ataku, kroki, przekroczenia limitu czasu akcji, gubiły piłkę. W oczy rzucał się kompletny brak zgrania gdyńskiego zespołu. Na ich tle torunianki stanowiły dobrze rozumiejący się kolektyw, były szybsze, a filigranowa Lorin Dixon wchodziła w obronę gospodyń, jak w masło i aż 7 razy skutecznie otwierała swoim koleżankom drogę do zdobycia punktów. Akcje podkoszowe kończyły natomiast Weronika Idczak, Emilia Tłumak i Joanna Walich.  W zespole Vadima Czeczuro trudno kogokolwiek wyróżnić. Karolina Puss była wprawdzie skuteczna za trzy punkty (trafiła 4 na 7 prób), ale znów zanotowała aż 5 strat.

W przyszłym tygodniu nasze dziewczyny czeka starcie z faworytkami Basket Ligi Kobiet, mistrzyniami Polski CCC Polkowice. Dzisiejsze spotkanie pokazało, że przed zawodniczkami i trenerem jeszcze sporo pracy, by uniknąć kolejnego w krótkim czasie blamażu.

– Za mało jesteśmy razem – powiedział po meczu trener Vadim Czeczuro – przeprowadziliśmy może osiem, może dziewięć treningów grając 5 na 5. Ale wierzę w zespół, potrafimy dobrze zagrać, po prostu musimy ustabilizować te wahania, które będą jeszcze, bo tak jak mówię, zespół na 80% jest nowy. Musimy się zgrać, musimy się zrozumieć, tak samo zawodniczki polskie, jak i zagraniczne muszą wiedzieć, co do nich należy na boisku – zakończył

 

To jest bardzo młody zespół (…). Przed nami bardzo trudne mecze i mam nadzieję, że to nam pomoże przed tymi meczami, które musimy wygrać i powinnyśmy wygrać . I coraz więcej potrzebujemy jeszcze treningów i gry 5 na 5, gdyż jak powiedział trener, za krótko jeszcze ze sobą gramy – dodała kapitan Riviery Małgorzata Misiuk.
