Walkę o zwycięstwo stoczy aż 25 zawodników i zawodniczek w kategorii PRO z Niemiec, Francji, Szwajcarii, Ukrainy, Białorusi, Włoch, Słowacji, Wielkiej Brytanii, Malty, Szwecji oraz Polski.

Kacpra Adama, aktualnego Mistrza Polski na dystansie długim oraz Mikołaja Lufta, który przed dwoma laty zajął w Gdyni 3 miejsce. Biało – czerwone barwy będą reprezentowały także Ewa Komander, Ewa Bugdoł i Paulina Kotfica.
– Do Gdyni przyjeżdża w tym roku niezwykle utytułowana Erika Csomor. Węgierka ma na swoim koncie tytuły Mistrzyni Świata w duathlonie, wiele razy stawała też na podium zawodów IRONMAN na całym świecie – mówi Michał Drelich. – Jedną z faworytek do zwycięstwa jest też reprezentantka Niemiec Diana Riesler – dodaje dyrektor.
Herbalife Ironman 70.3 Gdynia wraz z imprezami towarzyszącymi odbędzie się w dniach 7-9 sierpnia 2015. W programie zawodów zaplanowane są zawody na dystansie długim (1,9 km pływania – 90 km rowerem i 21,1 km biegiem) oraz sprinterskim (0,75 km – 20 km – 5 km), a także sztafety dla 3-osobowych drużyn oraz aquathlony dla dzieci.
